Close to the town center, this grandiose object is dedicated to the fighters and revolutionaries who fought in the Ilinden uprising of 1903. It’s a nice piece of art and history to see while in Krusevo.
The Saint Nikola Church is situated in the bazaar of Krusevo, and is the cathedral of the town. It has gone through destruction by fire, and has been rebuilt, while trying to save some of its artworks.
This gallery exhibits art by the well-known painter from Krusevo, Nikola Martinoski. He is considered to be the founder of Macedonian contemporary art, influenced my medieval fresco art.
This monument is inspiring, showing the strength of a man lifting a small boulder over his head in a last effort to defend his homeland. The statue was built in honor of Pitu Guli, who died alongside his soldiers in battle with the Ottoman Turks.
This monument was raised as a symbol of the bravery of the Macedonian rebels during the defense of the republic in 1903. Like many war monuments, it represents a time where the impossible happened; duke Georgi Stojanov and Dime Smurgrev held their position here for 5 days while outnumbered by the Ottoman calvary.

Tose Proeski was a well known singer in Krusevo, and some even called him a saint. This house was built in memorial for him, but it’s not just for the fans. The architecture is some of the best in the country, and you can buy CDs of the music that made Tose Proeski so popular.
