Top Attractions and Activities in Menorca

Menorca, the easternmost of the Balearic Islands, features many wonderful activities and attractions that are unique to the island. Traditionally more low-key than its party neighbors Mallorca and Ibiza, it offers a nice change of pace for our jet charter clientele during their adventures across the Balearics. Start at the capital city’s historic port, Maó – Mahón’s Harbor, the second largest natural deep water port in the world, with Pearl Harbor being the largest. Charter a luxury yacht and journey out on the Cala Saint Jordi for amazing views of the crystal clear water and the island’s landmarks such as La Mola Fortress and Sant Felip Castle. From here you can enjoy diving at some of Menorca’s prime sites, including Es Caragol Reef and its beautiful coral galleries. The natural covers and harbors are perfect for exploring in a kayak or canoe, and there’s plenty of seabreeze for sailing and watersports such as windsurfing.

216 kilometers of coastline are available in Menorca and it features some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Horseback rides and jeep safaris are another popular way to see the island by ground, but for the best view, head up to El Toro, the tallest mountain on the island, where you can paraglide your way back to sea level. Colom Island is a mere 200 meters off the coast, and has two public beaches available for sunseekers – if you really like it, the small island is for sale for $6 million. Nature lovers can also check out the Albufera d’es Grau national park, home to many wetlands birds and part of Menorca’s UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. When your adventures come to a close, make your way over to Cova d’en Xoroi at Cala’n Porter, an outdoor bar set within natural caves serving up Balearic beats, cocktails, and the best sunsets on the island. Check out more of our recommendations after your private charter flight arrives in Menorca, Spain.
